Cathy Gordon

I was born and raised in Upstate New York graduating from Shenendehowa High School in 1991. I attended Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA where I graduated with a degree3 in Elementary Education in 1996.
My husband David (Plainview ‘73) and I got married in December 1995 and moved to Oklahoma to begin a journey in Ministry in the Nazarene and United Methodist Churches. Over the course of 29 years we ministered in Clinton, Waurika, Poteau, Forgan, Borken Bow, Mangum, Fairview and back to Waurika. We were scheduled to move to Lone Grove for David’s retirement in June 2025, but sadly he passed away in May 2025.
I have taught seven years in third grade and three years in first grade. I taught in the last four towns we lived in, with the last school teaching third grade at Ryan.
Teaching duns in my family. My daughter Samamtha is a third grade teacher in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and my son David will be starting his junior year at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas as a Music Education major with a percussion focus.
Teaching is my passion, and I am very excited to join the Oak Hall family.
