Martha Riesen
A graduate of Ardmore High School, I went on to attend the University of Oklahoma, earning my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree in May 1983. After graduation, I worked in retail as a clothing store manager at both The Squire Shop and Cyrk & Co. in Norman and Oklahoma City. Returning to Ardmore in 1986, I accepted a teaching position at Oak Hall Episcopal School where I have joyfully continued to teach for the past 37 years. While I have taught Third and Fifth Grade at Oak Hall, it is as the Fourth Grade teacher that I found my place.
In December 1986 I married Mark Riesen. We have a son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Angela, who reside in Miami, Florida. Our other son, Blake resides in Ardmore. They both attended Oak Hall for nine years.
I attend St. Philip's Episcopal Church where I am currently serving as an altar guild member. I am also serving on the Ardmore Enrichment Foundation and Ardmore Village boards. I enjoy reading , playing cards, attending football games and vacationing.
