It is the belief of every Physical Education teacher at Oak Hall that every child has the right and ability to succeed. We promote a positive and supportive environment where students can become successful at achieving their own personal goals. We know that success breeds success, success instills self-esteem, self-esteem elicits self-confidence, and self-esteem and self-confidence spill over into academics and other venues making for a happy, well-adjusted individual.

Over the years, the Oak Hall Physical Education program has grown significantly. Every year, the activities and competitive sports become more dynamic and require more dedication. We believe this builds our children's character as well as teaches them responsibility. The Physical Education classes are well disciplined and well organized. Because expectations and boundaries are set and consistent, time is spent motivating and teaching as opposed to disciplining and punishment.

The continuum of the program, from preschool motor development to upper grade competitive sports, flows consistently, and each level leads to the next.

Students are exposed to a variety of activities but are also given the opportunity to further develop those that interest them, including many lifelong activities such as aerobics, running, golf, tennis and swimming. Many activities include parent volunteers and/or parent participation.

The Oak Hall Physical Education program breeds successful, self-confident, happy and well-adjusted students.
